Applications Engineering

At PrymeTech, we use CMM’s to reverse engineer and utilize Solidworks software to create and design 3D models. Our engineers also design, develop, and test software applications for your metrology equipment. They work throughout the software development life cycle in supporting application design, analysis developments, and testing process.


 

PrymeTech utilizes 3D CAD software Solidworks and CMM’s to reverse engineer. This allows us to draw up a 3D model of a single part, or an entire assembly from any part.

 

PrymeTech offers a concept-to-end product solution. Our life cycle process includes design, manufacture, and inspection. Our engineers are able to design simple parts or complex assemblies.

 

PrymeTech systems are compatible with most CAD file formats. This allows us to be able to fully suit any of your projects needs.

The goal of PrymeTech’s Reverse Engineering services is to provide our customers with a usable 3D model of their part or assembly. This process can be used for a wide range of applications- from prototyping to reproducing and scaling products. The 3D model, built through our CAD software, can be used for observation, preservation, and/or part improvements.

 

 

Within our Quality Lab, we utilize measurement devices such as CMM’s, Vision Systems, multi-sensor, and hand tools that allow our engineers to digitize and map out your parts or assemblies on a high-precision level. The ability to collect this detailed information allows us to generate highly accurate and repeatable measurements. Our 3D CAD models can be exported into nearly any format such as: STEP, IGS, STL, ProEngineer, or AutoDesk.


Measurement Equipment

3D Scanners

We utilize Zeiss white light & laser scanners that can be used to capture a full point cloud of almost any part.

CMM

Our in-house quality lab is equipped with several cutting edge CMMs that can be used to accurately measure parts.

Multi-Sensor

PrymeTech also has access to vision and multi-sensor systems.

Comparator

For fast check measurements, a comparator is available in our quality lab.

Hand Tools

PrymeTech also utilizes basic hand tools for measurement such as digital calipers.

 

CAD MODELING:

3D CAD Design Software – SOLIDWORKS

Prymetech uses the CAD software Solidworks, one of the leading industry programs for 3D modeling. Our engineers can draw up just a single part, or an entire assembly.

File Compatibility

Solidworks is one of the best software in terms of file compatibility, supporting nearly every CAD file format available. 3D models can be imported and exported in common formats such as STEP, IGES or STL. Solidworks is also compatible with ProEngineer and Autodesk file formats.
